Significant experience includes management of a CPA firm whose clientele can be included in the following industries or groups:

Services to these groups include auditing, review or compilation of financial statements, preparation of related tax reports, preparation or review of business plans and forecasts and other general financial assistance to organizations or individuals.

Additional services include individual and business tax planning, analysis and illustration of proposed transactions, comprehensive research of tax issues, communication with Internal Revenue Services, etc.  Such services also include preparation of financial planning reports to illustrate projected cash flow, needed investment level or results, income tax obligations, life insurance needs and projected estate planning results.

Holding companies - substantial experience includes direct responsibility for several large holding company/multi-corporate groups (20-300 domestic and foreign subsidiary corporations with total assets close to two billion dollars) including such industries as:

  • Manufacturing

  • Insurance

  • Real Estate

  • Transportation

     

    Real Estate/Construction: served in advisory capacity concerning complex tax legislation and administrative rules applicable to this industry for REIT, construction and land development and other real estate intensive clients.

     

    Other Areas

     

    Served a variety of other corporate, partnership and individual clients which have provided considerable knowledge of these subjects.

     

    Practiced in Washington, D.C. for over three years which included Firm liaison on specific subjects brought before the National Office of Internal Revenue Service.

     

    Instructor - conducted tax seminars for the Ohio and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants and spoke frequently before accounting, civic and business groups.

     

    The above activities have provided expertise involving unusual individual and industry tax rules, consolidated return regulations, reorganization and divestiture rules, basis and earnings and profits studies and rules relating to the depreciation of real estate and other property.

    Certified Public Accountant, Pennsylvania and Ohio.  1964 CPA exam was 1 of 10 (of about 600 exams taken) selected to determine the top 3 scores to receive honors.
